Technology
Since 1973, Simplast Group has applied the best technology available on the market for the rotational molding of plastics.
Over the years, this technology has evolved through experience. Our machineries combine technical and artisanal work, embodying the continuous effort to improve engineering in order to enhance the products’ quality, resistance, production efficiency and processing speed.
Simplast Group selects the best raw material available and is capable of molding a vast array of technical materials, designed to produce the best result possible. We can process Polycarbonate (PC), Nylon (PA6, PA11 and PA12), Polyurethane (PUR), Hytrel, Cross-linked Polyethylene (X-PE), foam and non-foam polyethylene, rigid and liquid PVC, Polypropylene (PP) and ABS. Simplast Group is also specialized in the production of multiple layers and the painting/lacquering of aesthetic products.
Rotational molding one technology, numerous benefits.
Processes
Simplast Group follows the entire rotational molding production chain, dedicating customized service to each client, upholding the highest quality standards and maintaining the flexibility of a small company. This allows us to follow the molding process step by step, thanks to a team of professionals specialized in each sector.
From the idea to the piece, we follow every step of the process, including post-printing, packaging and shipping. A vertical control that allows us great flexibility and customization of each process.

01 Project planning and design
We may receive the design directly from the client or work together on the piece by carefully studying each detail based on the required characteristics. We pay particular attention to where a certain piece will be used, finding the most suitable materials and the solution to potential issues. After planning, we create the technical design with our team of engineers.
02 3D model
The 3D virtual model of the technical drawing allows to better understand volumes and specific characteristics of the mold that will produce the piece.
03 Mold construction
Simplast internally produces the aluminum or steel mold using automatic numerical control machines that ensure maximum definition.
04 Prototyping and test
Plastic materials in powdered form are introduced into the mold: after being heated and rotated, these will evenly deposit on the sides, thus creating the prototype. The prototype undergoes technical, mechanical and metrical tests to ensure that the product is fit for the project and has the desired resistance.
05 Manufacture and homologation
Materials are chosen for the realization of the piece and further tests are carried out in accordance with curent guidelines. If required, official tests will be carried out by qualified organizations.
06 Post-molding processing and assembly
Simplast Group is one of the few companies that also handles this phase. Following molding, the product is handled by robotic machines for finishing, assembly and final testing.
07 Packaging & Shipping
In agreement with the client, we design the packaging according to aesthetic and practical characteristics in order to maximize the storage and transport capacity of the product. Simplast Group can store finished products and organize shipping worldwide.
